We love Maths
Our focus in maths this term is Algebra, Addition and Subtraction. For warm up we play a game called arrows on the hundreds board. Some of us have become very quick by eliminating the operations that cancel each other out. (: It sounds hard but trust us it is fast.
Have we mentioned how fast we are becoming at our basic facts tests? Every Friday we do a speed basic facts test. We then mark ourselves and record how many we got right out of 100. Some of us mange to finish all 100 in the time limit so we record our time each week.
Mandarin
In Mandarin class we have been learning how to address different members of our family. We also get to hear amazing chinese folktales that explain things such as "Why the sea is salty!" Ms Chen is a fabulous story teller.
Lunchtime Performance
A few of us, during morning tea and lunch time, put together a performance to present to the class. The class laughed a lot during our show which is a good thing considering it was a comedy. This led to a discussion in class about genres which we will learn more about his term.
